FallTrees Swans 300x225 Peace In The World
“If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person.
If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house.
If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.”
I first saw this proverb and photo posted on the facebook page for Calling All Angels (Oct. 2011).  The photo is stunning (autumn is my favorite season!), and the proverb is beautiful too.  I plan on re-reading it as often as needed whenever I feel like worry and stress are taking over, or when I feel overwhelmed by the huge task of working on getting my home in order (my long-term goal: “end the clutter project”) – I am determined to organize and get rid of the excess stuff in my house to create an environment that is calming and restful.

  1. A nice sentiment to remember!

Best wishes on your de-cluttering. It’s a perpetual project for me too, as I live in a rather small space with limited storage. You will feel so much better when you are finished!

    • Thank you for the encouragment Rue – I’ll need it! I am a pack rat, married to pack rat (with a lovely young daughter who also has her stuff and typical teen habit of drop it and leave it) – so we have a lot of “stuff”, about 10 yrs ago we moved from a house with huge storage space (big basement, big attic, and huge back building and garage) into a house with no attic, no basement, no back buidling and a small garage – lots of stuff just got left behind because there was no room, and the stuff that did get moved was all shoved here and there. It wasn’t till I was finally able to regain my health that I felt I could even tackle the task – but now my biggest hindrance is time and figuring out how to make some head way – I can do a few boxes, clear a closet or organize a cabinet but some how within a week or two it’s all undone – so I have to find a way to set the spaces I get organized off limits and no clutter zones so they don’t fill up again.
