MoonWater Protection Spells

A blog reader asked: Somone at work has been attacking me for 15 years and lately has ramped up the attacks. Not sure what this person has against me (possibly jealousy) but it’s been BAD lately. It’s been about a month now and the funny thing is that shortly before the first attack, I had a really BAD feeling; and felt it was connected to work, which at the time I thought was RIDICULOUS but now feel was my psychic instincts, which are not that great, letting me know trouble was ahead.  What can I do?  ANY help you can give on any level is greatly appreciated.

Write the name on a piece of paper, put it in an ice cube tray with water and freeze it (or a small plastic container filled with water and freeze.  As you do this – visualize the person being completely frozen in their tracks in regards to any attacks on you.

Go to the dollar and get a cheap mirror – keep it on your desk with the mirror facing in the general direction of where the person sits.  Each morning visualize anything they send to you bouncing off the mirror and back to them.

Stones and crystals are very protective – doesn’t have a to be big expensive pieces and you may already have some – keep one or more in a bag on your person or on your desk.  Some common stones for protection: Amber, Amethyst, Black Obsidian, Black Tourmaline, Malachite, Smokey Quartz Crystals, Sugilite, and/or Tourmalinated Quartz – there are others too.  If you have a quartz crystal point you can bring it to work and create a circle of protection around your work space – holding it in your hand pointing the crystal outward “draw” in the air and in your mind a protective circle around your self and your cubicle  (when you leave at night just say “the circle is now open” and visualize the energy going back into the ground),  then redo it it in the morning.

For long term protection continue to be spiritually open and transforming your own life.  As your ability to gather and circulate qi (life force) increases and expands the negativity (vibrations) of others will have less and less affect on you.  We can not change someone else, but we can protect ourselves from those who wish to live their focused on spitefulness, jealousy and other negative emotions.  Being filled with calm, loving energy benefits you and everyone around you even if the person choses to continue to be negative – you can chose not to feed into the cycle and focus on love and light filling your aura (which will naturally reflect all negativity).

xmasornaments Witch Ball Decoration and Protection Spell

Here is a fun crafting idea that would make a nice gift, decoration for the house, and a fun project to do with kids – a witch ball.  Full of swirling colors, witch balls in one form or another were hung in the windows for at least 600 years to protect the home and the occupants from evil spirits, negative energy, and ill fortune. The ones dating back to medieval times were not as polished and beautiful as later ones from the Victorian era.  They were also suspeneded from a cord and hung from rafters or the mantelpiece, and can be as large as 7 inches in diameter. They were usually made from glass, but some were made from wood, grass, or twigs. Variations of the witch ball can be found in many cultures (witches were considered a blessing and would “enchant” the balls to enhance the protection against evils). The traditional colors were blue and green and usually hung in the eastern part of the house. They were also decorated with enameled swirls and bright strips of various colors.  According to folk tales, witch balls would entice evil spirits with their bright colors; the strands inside the ball would then capture the spirit and prevent it from escaping.  The term “witch ball” may actually come fom the term “watch ball” because the ball was watching and guarding the home.

eHow to Make Witch Balls – Materials: clear glass or plastic Christmas ornaments, bottles of liquid gold and silver metallic craft paints (and any colors you like), clear drying craft glue, ribbon or fishing line. Remove the wire loop at the top of the ornament. Squeeze a small amount of metallic paint (approx. 1 tsp. onto the interior sides of the ornament, then swirl the ornament so the paint creates a swirled pattern, allow to dry a few minutes and repeat with another color or two until the interior is covered.  Set upside down in an empty egg carton so the excess paint drains out, then set upright and allow the paint to dry overnight. Herbs can be placed inside the ornament that compliment your magical intent:  for example: a crushed cinnamon stick for protection, dried lavender for happiness, dried rose petals for luck.  You can also add a drop or two of essential oils to the dried herbs.  Then fill the ball with silver tree tinsel that has been cut into various lengths (the reflective silver tinsel and paint reflects bad energy back to the sender and the strands of tinsel entangle evil spirits.)  Replace the wire loops at the top of the ornament (add a drop of glue to keep it secure) and charge the ornament with your magical intent.  Add a long loop of fishing line or ribbon. Hang the ornament where you like (i.e. window, doorway, garden, rafters, mantel) or place on top of a tall vase (with an opening that is the right size to securely hold the ornament but it doesn’t fall inside the vase).

Next year if we rent a house again down the shore for Thanksgiving with the whole family, I plan on bringing materials to make these with the kids.  Some where in the house I have a huge box full of clear, plastic ornaments that would be perfect to use.

my4tattoos2 Magical Tattoos

I got my first tattoos to celebrate my 50th birthday – the pentacle on my ankle and the dragon heart area (front of the chest). The following year I got the triquetta on the other ankle, and the year after that the yin-yang on the back of the neck (the rose in the center represents my middle name and also my “pen name”). The tattoo artist designed the yin-yang especially for me, he said he had never done a rose that small before. The photos don’t do them justice. I will eventually get two more tattoo – one on the inside of each wrist. These will be small and simple designs (because that is a very tender area to get a tattoo in) – the triple moon and a few stars (in purple of course).

The symbology for the tattoos is based on a simple ritual poem I wrote many, many years ago.

My feet rest upon the earth (two ankle tatoos),
My spirit soars among the stars, (arms raised with two moon tattos on wrist),
My heart resides between. (dragon and yin-yang)
Healing, powerful, loving I am.
So mote it be.

It took a long time to decide whether I wanted tattoos, but when I did I knew they would have to be meaningful and symbolic to my spiritual path and to be an expression of the sacredness of the divine residing in the phsyical body.

Do you have tattoos? What designs are they and what meaning do they have for you? If you have photos of your tattoos, feel free to leave a link and I’ll pop over to take a look.

Amethyst House Blessing With Crystals
I have always loved crystals and semi-precious stones, I have several clusters and spheres of many different kinds. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of inspiration and creative ideas for different ways to use them.  One way I plan to use a lot of crystals and stones is for a house blessing. This will be a project that takes a few months to prepare for as I find and gather the various stones I need.

The house blessing will begin under the house. We do not have a basement, however there is a dirt floor and enough space that you can walk under the house as long as you don’t stand completely upright.   As I thought about what I wanted to do, I decided that I wouldn’t do anything that might scare the next owners (even if that ends up being 50+ years from now), I decided not to use crystal skulls or painted stones with pentacles (which I did think about doing at first until I got the idea to use various crystals).  There are so many wonderful crystals and semi-precious stones to chose from that it was a bit difficult to narrow down what I wanted to use – in the end I decided to go with a few of my favorites.

The first step to creating a ritual is to decide on the purpose. I want my home to be a calm, peaceful, loving place to be for my family but also a place that supports spiritual well being and my healing work. Taking all of that into consideration I selected: 4 hematite (heart shape), 1 rose quartz (star shape), 12 rutilated quartz (small pieces), 50 clear quartz points, and 13 amethyst clusters.

Each area of the house and around the house will be censed with sage and spurged with blessed water and sea salt.  The crystals will be charged with intent and qi healing energy.

Under the house:  create a sacred space circle by placing four hematite heart stones in the four directions, a single row of 12 rutilated quartz around the circle space, and a star rose quartz in the center.  (The stones don’t need to be a particular shape to be affective, but I happened to find the hearts and star at a very good price.)

Around the outside of the house: place  a circle of  50 small clear quartz crystal points evenly space to create a cirle around the house.

Each room of the house:  place a amethyst crystal cluster.

I will then use my healing drum and from under house, to each room on the first floor and second floor, I will drum and chant filling the house with intent for protection, peace, joy, harmony, love and healing.

Hematite: helps to absorb negative energy, promotes calm, balance and equilibrium in times of stress or worry and is a very protective stone. It is good for grounded and helps to transform negative energies into a more positive vibration. It aids in meditation and the Ascension process, by facilitating the integration of higher spiritual energies into our physical existence; this allows those who are doing spiritual work to still be able to function in the physical world and relate to others. Also, physically it is used to protect against geopathic stress and electromagnetic smog.

Rose Quartz: stone of unconditional love (opens the heart to all types of love – love of self, love of family, love of friends, romantic love). It has a high energy, but its vibration is also calming and soothing. It clears out anger, jealousy, and resentment, and allows healing of  heart issues and disease associated with holding on to negative emotions.  It opens the heart to compassion for self and for others, and raises  self-esteem, eases guilt and balances emotions, lowering stress and bringing peace. The soothing energy fosters empathy, reconciliation, and  forgiveness of others, enhances positive self-affirmations and lowers stress and tension in the heart.  It promotes being open to and accepting love from others, and to recognize the unconditional love of the Universe. It is also used to balance all of the chakras and to remove negative energy and replace it with love energy.

Rutilated Crystal: (clear quartz riddled with needle-like threads of golden rutile, a material made of titanium dioxide) clears energy blockages from all of the chakras
and attune to divine purpose.  It puts off a very high level of energy, and brings physical and mental balance and stability.  It is an uplifting stone, infusing joy into one’s life and surrounding environment. It is also very good for meditation, promotes connection to the Divine, the higher realms and spirit guides (the rutile threads ack as a psychic antenna).  It assists to expand one’s state of consciousness and enhance psychic abilities, as well as helps gain greater concentration and clarity. Physically it can be used to speed healing of injuries and slow down aging.
An important aspect of Rutilated Quartz is when it is programmed it can powerfully amplify your intent out into the universe and help manifest the intent in the phsyical realm. To do this it is very important to use visualization – imagine being within the stone itself and then vividly imagine the energies of your intent moving
along the individual rutile crystal threads within the quartz.

Clear Quartz: most versatile and powerful healing stone among all crystals, it is known as the stone of power and amplifies any energy or intention, protects against negativity, attunes to your higher self, and relieves pain. It enhances and strengthens the aura. As gifts from Mother Earth, quartz crystals come to us with information for the higher self to assimilate in the process of one’s spiritual growth.  It is also used to cleanse, open, activate, and align all of the chakras, and are a wonderful choice for healing, meditation, energy work and energy grids.

In its natural form, the quartz points radiate their energies outward into the surrounding environment and can be programmed with intent and kept in a central place to emit its helpful energies. The naturally formed 6-sided (hexagon) shape (sacred geometry) contributes to its ability to magnify energetic vibrations.  Clear Quartz absorbs energies very easily, it is important to clear these stones on a regular basis.  I will be placing these in the Earth, pointed up and slightly angled toward the house and programmed to channel earth healing and grounding energy.  Since they will be in the ground,  it will keep them clear of negative energy (the earth absorbs and recycles all energy).

Amethyst: very powerful and protective crystal, natural stress reliever, encourages inner strength; a strong healing energy that transmutes lower vibrations to higher frequencies, and transforms negative energy to love energy. It connects the physical plane with higher realm, and is a wonderful peaceful energy for meditations. It also helps develop intuition and psychic abilities, enhances spiritual awareness and spiritual wisdom, promotes a higher state of consciousness; clears and repairs holes in the aura and draws in Divine energy, and aligning and fosters cooperation between the energy bodies.

The crystals will bring a wonderful energy to the house and help amplify rituals and healing work that I do.  Periodically I when I do a house cleansing, I can focus on the crystals as I cense and spurge throughout the house adding to the visualization of intention of protection, love, joy and healing and over time their energy and power will increase with each ritual and cleansing.

What are your favorite crystals and stones?   Have you used them in rituals or healing work?

Bright blessings, Lady Rose
